Chocolate Torte

A chocolate lovers dream this rich and decadent tort is perfect for special occasions. It's vegan, gluten free, and easy to make! It needs time to set or chill, so it's perfect for making the night before. It can be served chilled or pop it in the oven for a few minutes to get a warm chocolate treat.

Serves: 8 Time: 60 min
Ingredients
- 4oz dark chocolate
- 3 tbsp coconut oil
- 3tbsp apple sauce
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 and 2 tbsp chickpea flour
- 1/2 cup plant milk
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 8'' cake pan, greased
Directions
1. Turn oven to 325°F.
2.Mix milk and chickpea flour in a small bowl until there is no lumps or streaks.
3. In a bain marie on low-medium heat melt chocolate and coconut oil.
4. Mix chickpea mixture into chocolate until combined.
5. Mix in sugar, cocoa, and baking soda until well combined.
6. Pour batter into cake pan and bake for 35-40 minutes. Until a crust is develouped and no wobble remains.
7. Chill for 2 hours or overnight.
